    Handling Life

    Robert H. Schuller has identified three ways people handle life. The average person accepts and consents to what happens to them, similar to the tree in the backyard. It takes the showers and winds as they come. This matter-of-fact approach to life produced very little joy or satisfaction.

    Another plan for people to handle life is resent all the problems that blow into their life. The negative outlook affects our health. Our mental attitude directly effects our digestive system, hence our general health.

    The preferred way is to invent what happens to us. This method is an aggressive plan. We stop doing the things that hamper our happiness. We avoid activities that hinder our progress toward our goal. We overlook adverse circumstances. Our goal is firmly engrained in our mind. We invent ways to get closer to our dream. After taking a step forward, our hope is revived.

    We handle our life with hope in our heart and faith in our dream. Forget about taking the blows of life like our tree in the backyard.
