    Engrained Prejudice

Humankind is born with an engrained set of likes and dislikes. Even as a one year old, we don’t want our friend to have something we don’t. Groups of teenagers ostracize one student while forming a clique of likeminded friends. This naturally carries over into adult life.

We become jealous of those a cut above us: got a college education, act cultured, or are considered wealthy. They won’t be in our circle of friends. Their life seems to be a slow moving sludge in a kind of status quo flow.

Another group creates fear in us so we eliminate persons who are different: wear different clothes, have physical differences, or live in different neighborhoods.

Some will cull us out because God seems to be blessing our life; we go around cheerful, got a promotion at work, and got a real bargain on our house. Though the whole world seems to be ruling us out of their lives, we don’t need to think we are nothing. God individually created us in our mother. Like in the Garden of Eden, He said all he created was good.  When he created Adam and Eve and us, he pronounced His work “Very Good.” Since we are masterpiece created by God, show the world we are special and loved by our parents and God.
