Not a Blame Game Player
Sunday, September 11, 2011 Prosperous individuals realize we don’t live in a perfect world. Everyone makes a mistake now and then. Successful people sometimes make decisions based on feeling and not on a wise thought-out decision.
Blaming others for lost profits is useless. The guilty person even ourselves don’t need to be reminded of something we already realize. It only compounds the guilt feelings and never alleviates the mistake.
As we were growing up we watched people model and practice the blame game. Some of us experienced it in our own family. So we became proficient at shifting the personal responsibility from ourselves onto other innocent people. While doing this we fail to notice the situations and stress levels of those around us.
Some of us work under a boss who is adept at accusing our co-workers or us for their short-comings or short-sightedness. This squeezes all ambition out of us to produce or achieve. If and when we get promoted, let us vow to never to use the blame game tactics.
Blaming uses the negative to inspire others to greatness. Invariably it backfires and produces mediocre work and poor results. Praise, however small, works wonders in getting work accomplished or reaching the office goals. Sincere compliments produce positive reinforcement in those seeking to achieve in their life.
Blame is negative while praise is powerful and effective.
