Dreaming
Sunday, August 14, 2011 Successful people have the capacity to dream. All inventors image and visualize things while others just think about them. Dreaming calls for an elastic mind, not one all mixed up and permanently set like concrete.
Dreamers don’t consider thinking out of the box a waste of time. They think there is always a better or bigger way to do what they are already doing. Those who dream turn out to be possibility thinkers. Even in an earthquake prone area, a building with all windows could be built, hence the Crystal Cathedral in Orange County, CA.
As a child, we had an imagination. Was it that we could make cloth wings and fly off the garage? Each time we started a project someone told us that this couldn’t be done. Other neighborhood kids made superman jokes about us. Orville and Wilbur Wright plugged on and at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, made their few minutes flight. Now we have jets that fly three times the speed of sound. They laughed at Henry Ford’s horseless carriage. Even though the first car had no reverse gear, he proved to the world it could done.
As soon as we get spare time, dream about what we can do or have. Dorthea Brand suggests we dream as if it would possible although we don’t know how now. For sure, dreaming is not a waste of our time. God can cause each dream to become a reality.
