    Plus and Minus

Today, let’s check how many good and how many bad traits we have. We can add plus to our life or subtract negative traits that make us less desirable to our peers.

Unacceptable social thoughts and actions repel us from others. That is right, our thoughts can affect others.  A negative attitude nurtures an inferior feeling of self-worth. We naturally think that others are more gifted or talented than we are. The next lower step is to be insecure. Often this causes us to be defensive of what authority we possess instead of gladly accepting help and cooperation from others. The last negative is carrying a forsaken feeling like nobody cares about me. This spirit produces a coating of insulation from others. This rejection makes our world very small.

Now, a feeling of acceptance opens the door to initiating greetings and more open to casual conversation. The next trait is the comfortable feeling of acting approved as a special person which usually begins during our childhood. Even after we become an adult we can achieve this confident feeling. The religious person can feel freed from the sins of their parents or know we are cleared from our own sins. When we submit to God, we receive the forgiveness that all humans yearn for.

The next positive trait to project is a spirit of confidence. In other words, have a “can do” attitude about our next project or present challenge.

The last positive trait is to feel secure in the position we now have in life. Today, let us release or dump the negative traits and add positive traits to make us a great role model in society.
