    Improving Our Character

Each of us is a character and has character. If we are a character, most often it has negative or unique aspects. This moniker can be changed with an effort much like a duffer changes to a champion golfer.

The metamorphosis occurs slowly though mini-changes. We change from an ugly duckling to a magnificent swan by the way we handle everyday decision. When adverse circumstances occur, do we immediately throw up our hands in despair? Do we hide our head in the sand as the ostrich in our handling difficulty? Maybe we instantly lay the blame on someone or something? Little progress is made if we cut corners or compromise one of our cardinal principles. The formidable problem can be dissected and solve as we take the huge difficulty apart.

Our character most drastically improves when we meet the problem with all is fear. Tranquilly review the each problem until we take actual steps to settle the situation. The honing or sharpening of our character is done slowly. Each swipe of the blade must be done on the stone of integrity. All other ways dulls or tarnishes our character.
