    Our Faith in Others

Any school teacher can prove that students automatically and unconsciously respond to others’ faith in them. After six weeks of explaining the material of the course, tell the class, “I think most of you will probably make a failing grade.” Sure enough, half the class will receive a D or F. Before the next six week’s exam, the teacher announced, “We have been over this, so you will probably do well.” Not surprising, all passed but the one who didn’t try.

In the business world, the same principle applies to supervisors and employees. We can be critical or emphasize what changes workers need to make to improve. Instead, we can follow a rule of world famous inventor, Steve Jobs. Expect people to do great things, and they will. Success lies in the mind of the supervisor not dependent on the attitude of the employee. Like a successful salesperson, the closing of the sales transfers from the salesperson to the joy of the purchaser to buy it.

Remember as CEO or manager our positive attitude is contagious to the employees. Each day let the first words from our mouth be POSITIVE.
