    Reach That Goal

The following steps are provided by David H. Fun, MD:

Grasp a concrete and definite goal.

The little boy was hunting with his new gun. He shot at nothing and hit it. In like manner, we need a target to train our sights on so we will hit it.

    Stop running yourself down.

We seldom verbalize, but often tell ourselves we aren’t as smart as someone. That is a myth. God endowed us with all the abilities we would need to succeed.

Stop thinking of ways you can’t reach your goal.

Refuse to think you don’t have enough education. Henry Ford and Thomas Edison had little education, but look at all they accomplished.

Stop thinking why you will never reach our goal.

As with the light from a flashlight in the dark, you will find your way to get two steps closer to your goal. How does one eat an elephant? One bite at a time gets it done. Refuse to look at end goals and look a step or two towards your dream.

Write a description of who you would like to be.

Would you like to be the CEO of a large company? Then start thinking and dressing like the picture you have in your mind.

Act the part of the successful new you.

You can drop the small thinking and start changing small things around yourself for the better.

The question is, “Will I follow these suggestions to success?” or will I shelve this as just another good idea?
