    Courage

In his book, The 21 Indispensable Qualities of a Leader, John C. Maxwell states that leaders and executives make courageous decisions. For novices in the early years of becoming a leader, the battle starts with fear. This causes them to miss opportunities they might have used to their advantage. Confront the next road-blocking decision, study it thoroughly, and then make that decision.

Victorious entrepreneurs learn to begin by taking tiny steps against fear. Slowly, they become comfortable with the consequences of wrong decisions and poor choices. The factor that pushes them to the front of the pack is the joy of the rewards when the projects turn out well. The financial gain and the deep emotion satisfaction make the risk less formidable, like the joy of the second ride on the roller coaster with its vertical dives.

There is no exhilaration if the leader does not have the courage to take that seemingly death-defying decision in business. With courage, they strengthen their backbone and jump from one victory to another. Your future depends upon your courage.
