    Fear vs. Courage

Fear, real or imagined, is the most common road block to personal success. There are several different fears we face. One is we fear failure or lack of faith of not making it to the top. Another fear is that once we get started some ambitious person will get ahead of us and get our slice of the pie of success. One other fear is we will ignominiously fall on our face and irreparably damage our public image.

Courage is confidence in the face of fear. We valiantly take the chance of succeeding instead of mulling it over one more time. Visualize courage as having hope behind it with both hands on our shoulders. We see courage full of self-assurance and bravely marching toward the enemy. Faith gives courage the mental strength to say yes to reaching our goal.

So it is a daily civil war. Fear wants nothing to do with change. Almost everyone likes to comfortably stay where they are. Courage at every opportunity urges us to reach for that dream God gave us. The thought is scary but in the end it will bring such satisfaction. It is a fact, that success does not remove this battle of fear vs. courage. Decide now to continuously choose to follow courage.
