    Success Impossible?

There are several virtues in life that are corrosive. Whatever harmful actions, vengeful feelings and evil thoughts we have done will cause our achievement to crumble instead of remaining strong and enduring.

One virtue that weakens our efforts to become successful is arrogance. This attitude causes people to leave us and lose support our efforts. They feel very uncomfortable because we are tied up in ourselves.

Resentfulness will chase away support for our goal. People do not want criticism for the work they do but praise and at the least, appreciation.

An undue amount of pride causes everyone remember what we have done. Employees prefer we brag on them instead of ourselves. We do need pride in ourselves and our work so we do a good job, but not excess pride.

Another is criticism of others’ work and their accomplishment in an effort to make their work better. Supporters for our cause want ample appreciation for their work and our being thankful for their help.

Another is negative or evil way of accomplishing our goal is to cheat or use illegal means to get to our dream. We might even use those negative attitudes against our faithful friends.

Our last deterrent to success is greed. Again our stress-filled greed on way to our accomplishments and forgetting anyone who helped us reach our destiny.

So if we would be successful, eliminate any or all of these negative virtues from our lives. Success or achievement is impossible without commitment according to John Maxwell.

Corrosive virtue? It sourds like an oxymoron to me.
