Check Our Influence
Monday, May 2, 2011 Each day as we leave the house we automatically begin to influence people. Does our face display boredom? Does our body promote a feeling of attrition due to carrying a gigantic load of stress? Does our fear flash to the world like a streak of lightning in an electrical storm? Does our crumpled attire project failure?
Walter Greving, of Sheldon, Iowa has been said to have the most positive attitude and consistent projection of enthusiasm to all who see or associate with him. He is the happiest person despite any conditions to the contrary. Like a light bulb, his influence spreads happiness whether in positive or negative conditions.
He is a cheer-spreader. He finds reasons to cheer up the sad or despondent person. No one has been able to dampen the cheer he passes on.
Gloom-chaser is another term applied to him. Darkness and gloom overpower many of us but cheerfulness and positive attitude chase it away.
Walter is a hope-builder. He sees a spark of great promise in any impossible situation or depressed person. His unstoppable encouragement seeps into associates. Can we be a joy-generator? Surely, we have joy to share to pass along to others.
Some of us may have energy to spare and pass on to someone. To remain happy and keep a cheerful spirit, we must have a source bigger than ourselves. With God guiding, we can overpower gloom, pass on hope for the weary or generate joy in others in impossible situations. Oh! It is possible if a person has every fiber of their being saturation with God’s love and has the mind of Christ.
