Others Can Tell
Sunday, April 24, 2011 From what we do, people can tell what kind of person we are without us telling them. They don’t even have to be close friends. A recent commercial states that people can tell a lot about a person by looking at their keys. Loads of keys show that person wears responsibility well.
Another telling sign is by looking at a man’s shoes. Work boots show he’s a good provider. Italian leather slippers show respect for self and cares about others.
A glance at our bookshelf speaks volumes about how we think. These books provide the background for our life.
The people we socialize with provide a snapshot of our personality. We associate with people like ourselves.
Our behavior, actions, and words daily are exposed to the world. People notice the establishments we frequent: classy restaurants or dives, cultured or dark-lit places, gentlemanly/genteel or vulgar language. Our travels shout to the world who we really are.
So be careful! What we wear, say, do, and where we go reverberates the message of who we are.
