Hard Work
Sunday, December 11, 2011 In the beginning of humankind, our ancestor’s broke God’s rule. Since then, we have had to earn our living by hard work. We may try to circumvent hard work. Lately, for some of us that hard work expresses itself in creative thinking, weary eyes in front of a computer monitor, or enduring stress to reach a goal or deadline.
More recently, back-breaking work has been replaced by working with modern machinery. Even after moving up to work-saving devices, we can work smarter, not harder. There are ways we can save time and produce more with less effort and in a shorter time.
Since the beginning, hard work has been rewarded. Productivity is accomplished by hard work. Even a tough CEO appreciates productivity and profit. Sloppy work, slow performance, and shirking responsibility are rewarded with being passed over for promotion or being released.
Employers still search for diligent, faithful, and hardworking employees. Those producing a profit for them through their labor are still rewarded with more responsibility and higher salaries.
