Self-sufficiency
Sunday, November 20, 2011 Successful people subtly display their self-sufficiency though their confidence as they work. This self-assured feeling is acquired over years learned from life experiences.
Each new challenge is not met with fear. A problem viewed from the aspect of “I can do It.” Unexpected does not overwhelm us but points us to research and acquire more knowledge and expertise on that area. Knowing what to do next relieves anxiety and promotes confidence.
As we close in on the feeling of self-sufficiency, negative comments about our work do not put us into emotional downward spiral. Those non-workers and fault-finders enjoy criticizing workers and doers. Confidence fends off self-guilt and possible depression from their negative remarks.
Those leaders with confidence are quick to accept new challenges, difficult assignments and any constructive suggestions. We enjoy persons who accept our suggestions. It makes us feel important.
Let’s walk confidently into the future with our shoulders back.
