Less Frustration
Monday, October 3, 2011 Preparing for obstacles, negative co-workers, and adverse circumstances is an integral part of being successful. These aggravating situations are sure to come, so this knowledge will keep frustration at bay. When we are aware these work stoppages will come, we will not let them overwhelm us. Just know that frustration is temporary.
We need to continue to think, work, and plan ways around the bottleneck or failure. When the problem is personnel, first look for ways to encourage our employees to do better the next time or work through the present mess that was created. The last option should be to fire a person you have trained for some time.
Frustration should not become a mental demon to fear. When it becomes a gigantic fear, it paralyzes our cool common sense thinking. Fear locks out the creative juices that usually flow through a clear mind.
Frustration can be a motivating factor. If we had no negative circumstances, we would be in a nursing home. Since we are on the highway to success, we should view frustration as a challenge. Work through difficulties which sharpen our leadership skills. When it is solved, we can complement ourselves on another victory.
So knowing that frustrations will come and that they are always temporary add to our chances of success.
