Evaluation
Monday, October 17, 2011 Many managers celebrate completing the assigned project or recovering from an emergency and forget about evaluation. This mindset is not part of an successful executive.
Management possesses an overview and has glimpses of the future and/or goal. With this view, improving present work processes is in their thoughts. They can do a better job or increase the speed to save labor costs.
Some prepared instruments of evaluation can be profitably used. Another method is acquiring feedback through informal conversation with workers. Insights provide methods for enlarging markets for additional profits.
Prosperous supervisors do not blame workers for dismal results. Those responsible leaders know that blame only contributes to failure. Blaming others for negative results is a fruitless exercise.
Successful managers receive consequences and rewards in stride. Changing processes changes results. We cannot keep doing the same old thing and expect improved results. Effective leaders change the process by effectively employing verbal or written evaluations. Mature leaders constantly bring success closer.
